Please note the following terms of service before placing your order. Please read carefully to avoid any unnecessary misunderstanding.
QUOTATIONS All quotations are valid for 14 days and are subject to stock availability at the time of placing your order. Quotations are estimates based upon the information supplied to us at time of quoting and may change upon viewing of customers final artwork or order specifications. Any price changes will be confirmed with customer before processing any order.
The final items supplied will be as described on our price list, quotation and/or invoices. If the customer has specific requirements these should be made clear before quotation or order as to avoid any misunderstanding. Prices quoted on our price list, quotation or any advertising media are the prices for the printing only and do not include the price for artwork or design time or changes, unless specified.
ORDERS Please note we are unable to accept telephonic orders. All orders to be received in writing by either email or fax or placed at our shop.
PAYMENT TERMS Our payment terms are strictly 70% deposit on placing your order, balance on collection. We accept Electronic bank transfers and cash only. No cards or cheques. Please Note: No job will leave the premises without full payment
PRICING Prices listed on our website, price list or any advertising material are subject to change without notification. Quotations are valid for 14 days, if a quotation is not accepted within 14 days, it is deemed expired and may be subject to change.
TURNAROUND TIME Standard turnaround time is an average of 5-7 working days from artwork approval, however larger orders or flyers or items with additional finishing (such as rounded corners and invoice books) may take additional time.
Artwork approval received after 1pm will only begin production on the following working day. Turnaround time is based on the customers’ needs and the current production schedule at time of order. While every effort will be made to meet a requested deadline, there are factors that may arise beyond our control (such as power failure, stock issues etc..). Chameleon Graphics & Print will not be held responsible for any late delivery or distribution.
CANCELLATION As each order is custom made for the customer, Chameleon Graphics & Print cannot accept cancellations or refunds once the order has been placed and proof has been approved. Any artwork produced at the cancellation stage will be charged for. If the customer places an order and chooses not to receive a proof – no cancellation of the order will be accepted.
ARTWORK PRODUCED BY CHAMELEON GRAPHICS & PRINT Artwork will only begin on a job once the deposit has been received for your order. Please email your payment proof to chameleonp@mweb.co.za or fax 086 672 8222 to avoid delays in getting a proof ready. Artwork will normally take 24-48 working hours to produce from receipt of deposit. Artwork produced by Chameleon Graphics will require the customers’ approval before print.
It shall be the customers responsibility to check all proofs (whether electronic or printed) to ensure that all details, names, telephone numbers, spellings etc… are correct as Chameleon Graphics & Print cannot take responsibility for any mistakes or omissions once the customer has approved the artwork.
ARTWORK SUPPLIED BY THE CUSTOMER All artwork and images supplied must be in CMYK format. We will not be held responsible for the colour shift that may occur from conversion of RGB/Spot colours to CMYK colour modes. For best results all artwork, designs and images should be supplied in a minimum of 300dpi. When artwork is supplied, a proof will be e-mailed to you at no charge (when time permits) so that you can do one last check that we have the correct file for printing and that all the information and spelling is correct on the file supplied. However, we cannot guarantee a color match to the proof you see on your computer screen or print on your printer. This is due to variations in individual screen calibration, inks, media and mechanical characteristics of desktop printers.
Chameleon Graphics and Print will not be held responsible for colour issues and print quality (including fuzzy, distorted or pixelated images) due to incorrectly supplied artwork. Please refer our Artwork Submission guidelines and templates for more info on setting up your artwork.
COLOUR While colours are generally reproduced accurately, the customer must understand that no colours can be guaranteed 100% accurate to how it will display on a computer monitor or paper proof. Whilst every effort is made to keep colours as accurate as possible - there are various factors that may cause slight variations in colour - and therefore a 100% colour accuracy cannot be guaranteed.
Please note that the application of UV gloss varnish used on the business cards, bookmarks and postcards may effect or change the appearance of the printed colors slightly.
If close colour matching is required please supply us with the relevant CMYK breakdown or colour sample when placing your order. We do have colour breakdown books on hand that you are welcome to come and browse through should you require a specific colour. If unsure please contact us and we will try our best to help.
QUALITY It is in your best interest, and ours, to have your print job turn out correctly first time. If you are unhappy with the quality of any of our printing, please return the item to us so that we can find out what went wrong. Due to the nature of printing there may sometimes be problems, and if we find that there is a mistake on our part we will gladly take the necessary actions to fix to problem and/or reprint.
This does not apply to any customer errors on artwork supplied. While we always try and check the artwork supplied and advise of any problems or issues before print, please note we cannot be held responsible for any print issues arising from the artwork supplied (such as incorrect colours, font substitutions, image resolutions etc..) Full details of how to supply your artwork are available on our website or can be e-mailed to you on request.
PRINTING VARIATION Each batch of printing is designed and printed as per your specifications, but please keep in mind that there may be slight variations between each printing batch due to the type of ink, media or paper used.
STANDING MATTER Computer files, film, plates and any other materials prepared and used by Chameleon Graphics & Print in the production of the printing and the like shall remain Chameleon Graphics & Prints’ exclusive property. Copies of artwork, logos, or files may be supplied at customers request, electronically or in hard copy. In all cases a charge will be levied for this service.
GRIEVANCES Where grievances may arise with regards to any items produced by Chameleon Graphics & Print, such grievances should be communicated in writing to us within 48 hours after collection. If no such claim is made, Chameleon Graphics & Print and the customer will understand that the job has been accepted. By accepting the job, the customer acknowledges that Chameleon Graphics & Print performance has satisfied all terms, conditions and specifications.
If such grievance -whether this be print or design quality, delayed deliveries or any related matter be found reasonable, Chameleon Graphics & Print shall take any necessary actions to fix such problems, but this shall not constitute grounds for cancellation of orders or refunds under any circumstances.
SUBCONTRACT Chameleon Graphics and Print shall have the right to assign any portion of the order required to another subcontractor or vendor should the need arise.
PRIVACY STATEMENT Any information Chameleon Graphics & Print collects for order processing or from any enquiries is not shared with any other company or source. Your information is only used for contact, invoicing or delivery purposes.
LIABILITY It is the sole responsibility of the customer to determine whether the goods ordered by him/her are suitable for the purpose for which he/she intends using them. Chameleon Graphics & Prints’ liability shall be limited only to the invoiced price of any defective goods, and shall not include special, consequential, incidental, indirect or similar damages, including without limitation, lost profits.
Chameleon Graphics warrant that every product manufactured meet the industry standard for the type of product. Chameleon Graphics & Print makes no other warranty and no actions or words of Chameleon Graphics & Print or its officers, employees or agents shall constitute a warranty.
COPYRIGHT Chameleon Graphics & Print shall not be required to produce any matter which in our opinion is illegal or defamatory. The customer shall indemnify Chameleon Graphics & Print against all claims, costs and expenses arising out of infringement of copyright, trade marks, patent or design or the publication of illegal or defamatory matter.
